Nqe Dlamini has at least 25 years of extensive experience in project development facilitation, which includes 7 years in facilitating community relations on hydropower projects (having been part of Nepsa’s team since 2014). He has facilitated a number of projects within the food-water-energy-conservation nexus. He has worked with organisations like the Institute of Natural Resources (INR), International Community of the Red Cross (ICRC), Built Environment Support Group (BESG), the Mvula Trust, SaveAct Trust, World Vision South Africa, Lima Rural Development Foundation, Mahlathini Development Foundation and Farmer Support Group (FSG) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He is also the founder and MD of Stratact (PTY) Ltd – which specialises in project development facilitation, education, and training. Among many qualifications, Nqe holds a Master’s degree with a specialisation in adult education and is currently a Ph.D candidate.
SG is an attorney with a focus on corporate finance, mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructuring and venture capital funding. He has acted as the corporate legal advisor to Nepsa Energy since 2011 and he is currently a director of Dommisse Attorneys where he co-heads the Corporate and Commercial Team. SG obtained an LLB and LLM (cum laude) from the University of the Free State and was admitted as an attorney in Bloemfontein in 2010, after which he commenced his career as a commercial attorney.
Wihan is a professional accountant with 24 years’ experience in management and the accounting profession. He has served on the Nepsa Energy board since 2016. Wihan is a registered member with SAIPA where he also served on their regional board as chairperson and is also the owner of an accounting practice.
Org is a Civil Engineer with at least 18 years’ of extensive experience in water infrastructure management, hydropower project design and hydro plant operations management. He is responsible for overseeing the operations management of numerous mini and small hydro power plants in Mpumalanga and the management of the Blyde River Water Distribution Network, a R450 Million Rand bulk water distribution network. Org is a director of MBB Consulting Engineers, which has more than 34 years’ experience in operating hydro power plants. John is a Civil Engineer with more than 30 years of extensive experience in Civil and Structural Design, which includes 11 years in Hydropower. His hydropower project experience includes the Feasibility Design of the 235 MW Ndevu Gorge Hydro Hydro Project in Luangwa river, Zambia; design and project management of entire Civil package for two hydro generation projects in the Rwenzori mountains in western Uganda with a total output of 11.2 MW (both projects are operational); Due diligence investigation for the Copperbelt Energy Corporation for the Dikolongo, Kambudji and Kawa hydro projects in the DRC. Tender design and costing for Civil Package for 30 MW hydro plant in Gairezi, Zimbabwe; design of a 15 MW hydro plant for an existing dam in Masvingo, Zimbabwe. He is the founder and Director of Delf Consulting (Est. in 2001) and has consulted for international investors and clients across a wide range of renewable energy technologies including hydropower, solar, hydrogen and biomass. He has also consulted for Sasol, Northam Platinum, Anglo Gold Ashanti, Mittal, Rand Water and WK Construction.
